BROWNS is an important fashion boutique founded by Joan Burstein and her husband Sidney. The two spouses bought the first of the five Georgian houses in South Molton Street.
BROWNS was the first to introduce brands like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein in the United Kingdom. Mrs. Burstein also discovered new talents, from Alexander McQueen to John Galliano, from Hussein Chalayan to Commes des Garcons, which were symbols of the new fashion individuality. The research of creativity, innovation and originality has always characterized Browns' spirit.
Recently Holli Rogers became CEO of Browns and she is working hard to add prestige and elegance to the boutique.
Browns boutiques in South Melton Street and Sloan Street have large elegant glass showcases. Inside there are fine wooden floors and staircases and the several lights in ceiling wedged keep the store bright. At the entrance there is a wooden reception desk, which looks almost like a trunk, while there is a big round table upstairs, used as a support for clothes to try.
