Off-White™ is a luxury label rooted in contemporary urban culture and style.
The company was first founded as "PYREX VISION" by Virgil Abloh in the Italian city of Milan in 2012. Abloh subsequently renamed the company as Off-White™, following the philosophy of bringing "a gray area between the black and white as the off-white color" in the world of fashion.
Off-White™ produces collections for men, women and children, a line of objects and furnishing accessories and a series of publications, expressions of a contemporary cultural vision.
The design ranges from patchwork to typical brand graphics such as stripes and arrows, which also appear on t-shirts, dresses, sweatshirts, jeans and accessories such as sunglasses, sneakers and bags.
Born in Rockford, Illinois, in 1980 and passed away in 2021 at the age of 41, Virgil Abloh was without a doubt the most revolutionary fashion designer of the last 20 years. Starting from an intern at Fendi, Abloh made his way into fashion by bringing streetwear into luxury and luxury into streetwear, until leading the men's line of one of the most important Maison in the world: Louis Vuitton.
He managed to revolutionize the highest fashion by fusing it with pop and street culture vibes, making garments such as sneakers, t-shirts and sweatshirts parade on the catwalk for the first time, thus opening a breach that was then followed by almost all luxury brand.
As a must-have we remember his NIKE X OFF-WHITE™ collections, where he has upset classic models of Nike and Jordan making them even collector's items.
Also his forays into the field of design are unforgettable, such as the collaborations with Ikea.
