G-Star RAW, also called G-Star, is a Dutch brand created in 1989 by Jos Van Tilburg in Amsterdam. Its philosophy has always been to put the product in the center, where this is the denim: thanks to G-Star, it was introduced for the first time, the idea of luxury denim in the streets, combining craftsmanship of the highest level, with the street style of New York. So, in 1996, a kind of denim called "raw", so untreated and coming directly from the factory.
In 2014, producer and singer Pharrell Williams, started collaborating with G-Star, where he presented a denim collection called "RAW for the oceans". Two years later he became the co-owner of the company.
Today, the company has more than 6,500 stores around the world: from New York to Shanghai, from Paris to London.
