Sometimes, simpler things are those that come first to the goal. This is one of the secrets of the sales of Huf, a brand that is actually much more than that and has a history that deserves great respect and has reserved a large chapter in the streetwear book.
The brand's name is the same of its founder Keith Hufnagel, who grew up in the late 80s in New York. In those days skateboarding was not accepted: it was punk rock, it was hip-hop, it was part of a counterculture of the marginalized people that the masses did. It was a lifestyle that would have ended up modeling the very life of Hufnagel, who later moved to San Francisco to follow his passion and become a professional skateboarder, which led him to travel around the world, also supported by the industry of sector.
For this reason, Hufnagel saw the possibility of returning something to that same community that had raised him, and opened a small boutique on the Tenderloin District of San Francisco; space with the aim of bringing together the most respected brands under the same roof that skateboards, streetwear and sneaker-community had to offer. Hufnaghel called it HUFe store, and it quickly ended up recognized as the best Bay Area supplier of hard-to-find products. With its rapid and increased popularity, Hufnagel felt the need to launch his line, HUF, assimilating in a label a world and a philosophy of life. A decade after its inception, HUF has evolved into an independent producer of premium clothing, footwear and skateboard products.
The HUF style is characterized by hyper-colored prints, in addition to the unmistakable leaves pattern of marija in a thousand colors, present on t-shirts, socks and caps. A style that has always been thought of by skateboarder, who is however coming out of its world to influence the entire fashion scene.
