The Edwin brand in 1947, was born in Japan by Mr. Tsunemi, with a strong passion for denim, he is inspired by importing it directly from the USA, and in 1951 it is available for the first time in Japan even though this product is expensive and lower quality than its American counterparts.

In 1961, Mr. Tsunemi dials the first pair of Edwin jeans, making the company the first in the world to develop 'old wash', typical of working clothes.

In 2003, Edwin Europe is founded to develop exclusive products for the European market and bring a choice of Japanese products to a new audience.
