Founded in 2015, Yeezy is a streetwear label founded by the famous rapper Kanye West. The brand style, is made by a connection of the worlds of fashion and music.
After so many successfull albums, Kanye needed a new form of artistic expression so he decided to spent three years studying fashion and subsequently creating his first clothing line.
Actually Kanye is not new in this field, while he had worked with Nike for years, creating several editions of his Nike Air Yeezys before parting ways with them over creative control issues, he had now partnered with Donda as a creative controller and mostly with Adidas that sponsors his collections and with which he launched the Yeezy Boost 350, a model of sneakers, nowaday a best seller in all over the world, loved not just by guys, but also girls and kids.
Debuting at the New York Fashion Week in 2015, Kanye’s Yeezy Season 1, was his real introduction into the fashion world and his first expression under the Adidas name.
The presentations of his collections stand out as anti-conventional, as when he presented his new single "Wolves" during Season 1 or when he broadcast Season 2 at theaters in all the States, so the tickets for the Vision were sold out.
Styling speaking, the brand Yeezy features a very tiny color palette made of nude colors, powder pink, ecru, gray, khaki, brown.
Industrial and military inspirations, take shape in all collections, above all apparel such as oversized bomber, windbreakers, long anoraks and parkas, while high-tech gym shoes browse between practicality and experimentation areas, with avant-garde fabrics and pioneering designs.
Among the cult pieces also appear body, socks, joggers, oversize sweatshirts and t-shirts and thermal suits that evoke a total comfort. On the contrary, the often fuzzy sweaters with 3d motifs and motocross-inspired pants, emphasize a minimalistic grunge.
