Stone Island was born in 1982 from an idea by Massimo Osti, who, after studying various types of fabric, focused on a two-tone tarpaulin used by trucks. Osti tried to subject this fabric to an extreme stone wash, and the result was sophisticated.
Carlo Rivetti has bought the brand entirely in 1993, focusing on commercial, stylistic and productive development, bringing Stone Island today to a level of absolute excellence, chararcterized by performance and avant-garde.
The Milan shop is located in c.so Giacono Matteotti 18, in a space opened in may 2019, just near the fashion quadrilateral, and offers the Stone Island collection for men, women and children. There is a great variety of jackets, knitwear and trousers.
The shop features a design characterized by a perfect blend of technical and urban details, classic and avant-garde, cleverly combining wood, metal and cement.
