Every year, millions of people around the world gather in front of their screens to witness one of the most grandiose and spectacular events in the United States: the Super Bowl.

What is the Super Bowl? It's the finale of the NFL, the National Football League, which is the professional American football league.It usually takes place on the last Sunday of January or the first Sunday of February and records the highest television viewership in the United States.

It's not just a sports final, but a real show that combines sports, entertainment, and fashion. And this year, one of the most discussed and admired elements wasn't just the game on the field, between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, but also Usher's iconic style during the halftime show.

With a first outfit signed by Dolce & Gabbana, the American artist made a triumphant entrance. He wore a cream-colored ensemble, a true masterpiece of luxury and sophistication.The floor-length coat, tailor-made, was embellished with a faux fur collar and completely hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals, pearls, and baroque floral and dragonfly motifs.

Under the coat, he wore an asymmetrical jacket also tailor-made with a phoenix-shaped brooch set with diamonds and rubies, paired with sculptural wool trousers.

But the real surprise came when Usher removed the jacket to reveal a custom-made vest hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals. Not to mention the pair of leather gloves embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls, a clear homage to Michael Jackson.

Usher's transformation was as quick as a blink of an eye: in just 40 seconds he abandoned the first outfit to emerge in a dazzling blue and black look signed by Off-White. This ensemble, composed of five different pieces embellished with a whopping 394,000 crystals, made him literally shine.

A motorcycle jacket, a knitted turtleneck, a pair of leather motorcycle pants, and gloves were paired with roller skates, adding a touch of energy and dynamism to his performance.

But what's behind this choice of outfit? Is it all the result of Ib Kamara's ingenious imagination, Virgil Abloh's successor at Off-White? Not really.

According to the designer's explanation, this look was carefully thought out after Usher's team sent a mood board of fifty pages, rich in references to Kamara and Abloh's work.This isn't surprising, considering that Usher has always shown a great interest in fashion, not even missing a brand's fashion show during last year's men's Fashion Week.
