Han Kjøbenhavn, was founded by Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen and Tim Faith Hancock in 2008, when they launched an eyewear line. Seemingly, however, Han Kjøbenhavn has evolved its intricate eye to expand in to creating a full range of contemporary menswear clothing, signifying that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Han Kjobenhavn is made of all the ingredients that form the fundamentals of Danish design. Simple, but innovative and aesthetically beautiful elements, Han Kjobenhavn is inspired by a classic, clean Scandinavian style.
The eyewear, are made of Italian acetate, Japanese nickel free hinges and Carl Zeiss optics. All frames are suitable for prescription lenses. The menswear collections are inspired by Danish culture, military uniforms, sport outfits, vintage work wear utilizing modern day materials like neoprene, lightweight nylon and fusing old and new.
Almost as popular as the collections themselves, are the seasonal videos the team conceives to showcase them. Short, offbeat, and effective, the videos alone made Han Kjøbenhavn gained some much-deserved attention, defining the brand as anything but conventional.
