Founded in 1989, Work In Progress Textilhandels Gmbh (WIP) has created a distribution network in Europe for Carhartt, one of the first pioneer companies of workwear in the United States, making a selection of products, from the classic workwear range of the historic brand. In 1997 the first exclusive collection "Work In Progress" was launched. Since then, the products have been carefully modified for a different audience of consumers, more refined and attentive to quality, adapting the cuts of professional clothing to the needs of modern life. Jackets and rain coats, pullovers, outerwear and lightweight parkas are the iconic Carhartt WIP garments and are distinguished by their innovative touch, combined with the classic style that embodies the hardwearing, utilitarian Carhartt aesthetic.

Carhartt WIP has built strong collaborative relationships with inspiring, provocative and emerging figures in music and sports, becoming an iconic and well-respected brand in the underground scene, from hip-hop to skateboarding, from graffiti to cycling, as well as working with labels such as A.P.C., Vans and Junya Watanabe.

Carhartt WIP has opened stores in more than 60 locations around the world, with over 2500 wholesale customers until today, while Carhartt remains a separate entity, based in the United States.
