Walter Chiapponi leaves the creative direction of Blumarine

Walter Chiapponi leaves Blumarine after just one collection, presented last February at Palazzo Cusani. The designer has created a collection recalling the beginnings of his career remaining faithful to the brand and the stylistic codes of Blumarine.

"It was for me a kind of return to the future to which I dedicated all my love and creative passion. In this journey my thanks go first of all to Marco Marchi, Sole Administrator of Eccellenze Italiane Holding, who made it possible, but also to all those without whom I could not have expressed myself as I did. I am referring, in particular, to the people I loved and are no longer there, but who continue to instill strong emotions, to inspire my feeling and my journey", says the designer, referring to the recent loss of the stylist friend Davide Renne and 14-year-old nephew Noah.

Marco Marchi thanks the designer for putting so much of himself in this collection and for his commitment, wishing him the best for the future.

The designer explains that he intends to focus on new initiatives and projects with a social and humanitarian background to then reopen, at the right time, on the catwalks.
