Socks boots by Bottega Veneta: the most avant-garde tricot boots of this autumn winter!
Matthieu Blazy, new creative director of Bottega Veneta, wore something comfortable for this Fall Winter 2023/24 introducing the "socks boot".
Also called knit boots, presented on the catwalks of the Venetian brand, they immediately stood out in both of their two versions: with or without heels, respectively Atomic and Domenica boots in leather or cotton, quickly establishing themselves as the new obsession for this season!
The leather Domenica boots are the most curious variant! At first glance they might seem like warm and soft wool socks, on the contrary these are boots made of knitted biodegradable leather playing with the trompe-l'oeil effect. The aim is to bring out the texture of the knitted fabric, thus completely departing from traditional leather boots.
This is the reason why the "sock effect" boots have already captured everyone's attention, conquering celebs and fashion lovers, becoming the cult accessory of the season!
Kendall Jenner, forerunner of this trend, we saw her wearing the Atomic boots combined with a comfortable entirely knitted look. At the same time, Gilda Ambrosio, co-founder of the brand The Attico, on the occasion of the Loewe SS24 fashion show in Paris, wore the cotton Domenica boots by Bottega Veneta with gray shorts and a black leather jacket for a sporty chic look.
For some it is pure innovation, for others it is a boot with questionable taste and a high price, in fact the price of the Domenica boots in cotton is € 890, while for those made in biodegradable leather € 3,500, as regards the Atomic boots the price is € 990. But thanks to the creation of this creation, Bottega Veneta thus confirms, once again, its craftsmanship by managing to shape the leather as desired. Likewise, Matthieu Blazy further demonstrates that he is one of the most avant-garde minds on the international fashion scene.
