Milan LOVES Seoul
Milan Loves Seoul, an initiative conceived by Ylenia Basagni and Marcella Di Simone, fashion event manager and project manager respectively, in collaboration with the Smart Eventi agency, is preparing to make its debut during the upcoming Milan Fashion Week from 23 to 26 February. The project aims to promote the talented Korean designers who attracted attention during Seoul Fashion Week, highlighting their distinctive style and ability to combine sustainability and avant-garde creativity in a balanced manner.

Besides being a tribute to fashion and beauty Made in Korea, Milan Loves Seoul has the broader objective of accelerating cultural exchange and dialogue between Italy and Korea. Italy's increasing openness towards the East, with a particular focus on South Korea thanks to the Korean Wave, provides the ideal context for this project.

The event, which will take place at Casa degli Artisti in Milan, will feature four intense days of masterclasses, talks and exhibitions. Two of these days will be open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to explore the exclusive creations of 12 Korean fashion designers selected for their innovation and commitment to sustainability.

The conclusion of the event will be marked by an invitation-only fashion show on 26 February, during which three designers, chosen from among those who will be exhibiting their creations during the event, will present their works to the press, influencers and industry insiders. Istituto Marangoni, the event's educational partner, will organise a retrospective exhibition of garments made with Korean fabrics by some of its alumni in collaboration with KOTRA.

In addition, the event will include a competition that will award the best Korean designer, offering him or her the opportunity to participate in the second edition of Milan Loves Seoul free of charge. 10 Corso Como, as a Brand Partner, will provide one of the designers with the opportunity to present and sell his or her creations in its commercial spaces. Milan Loves Seoul aims not only to be a springboard for Korean designers, but also a catalyst for cultural exchange and collaboration between the two nations.
