Bottega Veneta opens the doors of its new store in the Galleria in Milan
The new store of the maison strengthens the brand's retail in the city of Milan, reaching three stores, after those in via Montenapoleone and via Sant'Andrea.
It is the first store designed by creative director Matthieu Blazy and confirms the attention that the brand has for modern aesthetics.
Developed on two floors, it has three main elements to characterize it: glass, Italian walnut wood and Saint Denis marble, a combination that recalls the aesthetics already present in their shop on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, opened last September.
The design of the shop has an industrial feel, characterized by geometric grids and glass blocks set in the walls and framed by wood, which give a feeling of openness and discovery.
The grids are then also repeated in the floor, with wooden panels framing the green marble.
The predominant materials are also proposed in the curved staircase of the shop, creating an enveloping atmosphere despite the coldness of the marble, a sensation also confirmed by the presence of wool carpets and leather seats.

“There are multiple spatial experiences in the store – declared Blazy -. I wanted to convey the idea of a domestic interior by recalling Italian modernist architecture in contrast with the aesthetics of a spaceship. And capture the intimacy and imagination of dressing."
To celebrate the opening, the brand exclusively presented three models from the new collection: the Kalimero Cha Cha bags, Città in Intrecciato foulard and the Cha Cha shoe. It also added the limited edition of five Kalimero city bags in python and fifteen Sardine bags with ceramic handle.
Each bag is numbered by a very fine gold plate placed inside them.
